Do I need to be referred by my GP?
Please note this is a private Personal Training service, and not funded by the NHS. You are not neccessarily required to book Personal Training services through GP Referral, you are more than welcome to get in touch with me directly without consulting with your GP. However do make sure you have the green light from your GP to exercise.
Before commensing with PT Sessions, I will take you through a breif health questionnaire, and be able to discuss any medical conditions with you in more detail, and any ways your exercise routine may need to be adjusted for your case. This will be covered in a free initial consultation where we can discuss your goals in more detail.
GP Referral essentially is the referral of yourself to me as a Personal Trainer. Or equally, with your permission I can share your progress with your GP.

If arranging through your GP...
1. Consult Your GP: The first step is to have a conversation with your GP. Discuss your interest in exercise referral and enquire about whether it's suitable for your specific health condition. You should get the green light from your GP first. If in doubt, please get in touch with me to discuss further.
2. Request a Referral: Express your desire to work with me as your GP Exercise Referral Qualified Personal Trainer. Your GP will then provide you with a referral letter outlining your health condition and authorising exercise as part of your treatment. All communications between you, your GP and myself are strictly confidential.
3. Personalised Plan: Once you're referred to me, we'll schedule a free consultation so I can understand your unique needs, limitations, and goals. This information helps me design a personalised exercise, nutrition and lifestyle plan tailored to your health condition(s) and fitness aspirations.
4. Guided Sessions: I will guide you through safe and effective exercise sessions. You'll receive hands-on instruction, ensuring your movements are correct and optimised for your condition(s).
5. Progress Tracking: I believe in evidence-based results. Regular assessments will track your progress, allowing me to fine-tune your exercise plan and celebrate your achievements.
